Description

Job summary
Join Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust and become part of a dedicated Dental Services team delivering high-quality Paediatric and Special Care community dental care. Our services complement both general and hospital dental provision, supporting patients through a collaborative, multi-agency approach. You will work across a diverse range of services including sedation dentistry, paediatric care, special care dentistry, domiciliary visits, bariatric support, and outreach services such as care within Medium Secure Units and mobile dental units for homeless populations.

As a Band 4 Dental Nurse, you will play an essential role in supporting clinicians to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate dental and oral healthcare. You will contribute to maintaining a well-organised and efficient clinical environment while ensuring compliance with professional standards and ongoing registration requirements.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on patient care within diverse and often vulnerable communities, working as part of a supportive and forward-thinking healthcare team that prioritises inclusion, quality, and innovation.

Main duties of the job
Please note, this vacancy does not meet the criteria for skilled worker sponsorship. Therefore, we are unable to accept applications from candidates that cannot provide documentary evidence of right to work in the United Kingdom.

In this role, you will provide high-quality chairside assistance, using your general dental nursing skills to support clinicians and ensure smooth delivery of care. You will help maintain a safe clinical environment through effective infection prevention control, accurate record-keeping, and sound risk assessment practices.

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated individual who embodies our Trust Values Framework--someone who is kind, responsive, and professional, with excellent communication skills. You will actively contribute to positive patient experiences by working in partnership with service users, their families, and carers, ensuring care is respectful, empowering, and person-centred.

You will be committed to continuous professional development, keeping your clinical knowledge up to date and adhering to evidence-based policies and procedures to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.

If you are passionate about delivering inclusive, high-quality care and want to make a difference across a diverse patient population, we would love to hear from you.
