We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Specialist Doctor - Medical Advisor for Adoption to join our professional Community Paediatrics Team.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Full GMC registration, Medical Degree, MBBS or equivalent
Desirable- A post graduate qualification e.g. MRCPCH by examination, MSc, DCH, DCCH, MBA or other relevant diplomas
ExperienceEssential- 7 years post qualification experience, of which a minimum of 4 years as Registrar or Staff grade, at least two of which must be in Community Paediatrics; Experience in the clinical management of children including those with neuro-developmental, emotional, behavioural and attachment difficulties, child protection, and adult health issues pertinent to parenting; Experience of working with Looked after children in particular ability to complete Initial Health Assessments independently.
Desirable- Specialist experience in relevant area of practice
KnowledgeEssential- Able to work unsupervised, with awareness of limitations; Good written and oral communication; Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively; Demonstrated ability to work with other health professionals; Experience of working with a multi-disciplinary team
