We are seeking GP Representatives to provide a strong, collaborative voice for General Practice within the Neighbourhood Innovation & Delivery Team. This role is central to shaping and influencing the development of Neighbourhood Health and Wellbeing across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
As a GP Representative, you will contribute to collective system leadership, ensuring that the perspectives, priorities and expertise of General Practice are fully embedded in neighbourhood-level planning and delivery. Working closely with the GP Collaborative Board, you will help to design, implement and evaluate integrated services, align partners and resources, and strengthen the connection between neighbourhood teams, Integrated Care Areas (ICAs), and General Practice.
The role ensures that General Practice is meaningfully represented at every stage of neighbourhood development, supported by effective feedback loops across each ICA and into the GP Collaborative Board.
Main duties of the jobCommitment RequiredThis role is supported by funded time equivalent to 4 Programmed Activities (PAs) per month.
Core commitments:- Monthly half-day face-to-face Neighbourhood Innovation & Delivery Team session
- Weekly 30-minute virtual check-in meeting
Additional expectations:- Attendance at relevant ICA forums aligned to locality leadership role
- Preparation and review of meeting materials
- Engagement with General Practice colleagues across their ICA
- Completion of agreed actions between meetings
- Provision of a suitably briefed deputy if unable to attend

Key Responsibilities:- Provide a view from General Practice and act as a two-way conduit between the Neighbourhood Innovation & Delivery Team and PCNs/practices through the GP Collaborative Board which includes LMC representation of individual General Practices.
- Act as the named ICA link for General Practice:
- Champion and communicate neighbourhood developments across their ICA patch
- Gather insight and feedback from practices to inform system design and decision-making
- Provide a collective GP view within the Neighbourhood Innovation & Delivery Team, highlighting what may need to go through the LMC for negotiation.
- Attend key Neighbourhood Innovation & Delivery (NID) Team meetings and relevant ICA forums
- Ensure appropriate preparation for meetings and active contribution to discussions
- Undertake and follow through agreed actions between meetings
- Contribute to shared system leadership, supporting a united voice and shared ambition
- Support development of integrated neighbourhood models across prevention, proactive and reactive care
- Identify and help resolve barriers to delivery
- Work collaboratively with partners across health, social care, local authority and VCSE
- Support co-produced, community-informed practical solutions
- Promote learning, evaluation and scaling of effective models
- Support development of meaningful metrics demonstrating system impact
- Contribute to a clear and consistent system narrative on neighbourhood health

Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Strong understanding of general practice and neighbourhood working
- Experience in partnership working and system leadership
- Ability to influence across organisations and provide the view of the GP community
