Job summaryWe have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a full-time Senior Analyst within the Cadence team in the Information Technology Clinical Systems (ITCS) directorate. This role offers the chance to develop your programme management experience within the NHS while supporting the continued optimisation and stability of the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR).
ITCS Senior Analysts support and maintain a portfolio of Epic and non-Epic systems that underpin the delivery of digital services across Guy's and St Thomas' (GSTT) and King's College Hospital (KCH). We are looking for candidates with strong digital aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and an understanding of NHS workflows. The role requires the ability to manage competing priorities while building effective relationships with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
Working within a supportive team led by an Application Manager and Deputy Application Manager, you will collaborate with stakeholders to review, design, configure, test, and deploy Epic workflows and clinical content. You will also provide timely support to end users, resolve system issues, and contribute to optimisation projects, software upgrades, and future platform enhancements.
This role requires hybrid working with a 50/50 split and will necessitate travel between Guy's and St. Thomas', King's College Hospital and Royal Brompton and Harefield sites.
Main duties of the job- Managing, co-ordinating and leading the configuration requirements and ensuring build is delivered in a timely way.
- Working with the appropriate stakeholders to analyse, negotiate and facilitate agreement for change to high-impact or critical workflows and current working practices, whilst managing expectations and resolving conflicts when necessary;
- Being a member of the multi-disciplinary configuration team, ensuring a consistent approach to the configuration and integration between the Epic modules and across the wider team;
- Being a key member of a designated Configuration and Application team ensuring design integrity
- Analysing and suggest ways to improve current workflows and working practices;
- Assisting with preparation for the testing and upgrading of the system to ensure it is safe, usable, secure and robust;
- Work with the clinical systems teams to support complex Epic, and other, software demonstrations and present information on the team's progress to the appropriate forums, adapted in a way in which makes it easy for the audience to understand;
- To assist in the delivery of the Trust's EHR system

- Initiate, arrange, chair and/or participate in meetings between senior Trust staff and/or DT&i colleagues to discuss workflows and/or areas of concern and/or take notes of any action points;

- Post qualification Masters degree, or significant experience in Healthcare equivalent to Masters degree level
- Evidence of further clinical training in a specific clinical field

Desirable- PRINCE2 Foundation
- ISEB Business Analysis Diploma
Previous ExperienceEssential- Proven experience of clinical environment and delivery of clinical care or significant experience in a clinical analyst role and within a systems development environment preferably within the NHS or health care related field
- Healthcare system design and configuration experience
- Significant experience of interpreting business/clinical requirements and considering the impact on IT services
- Demonstrable experience of producing qualitative work in very aggressive timescales
- Demonstrable experience documenting and mapping workflows as well as the results of the clinical analysis
Desirable- Experience in change management with respect to the relationship between clinician, business processes, risk management and solution functional capabilities.
Skills/ Knowledge/ AbilityEssential- Experience in the analysis and design of clinical solutions to meet clinicians' and business requirements.
- Proven ability to present a range of highly technical and highly complex information clearly and concisely in potentially contentious situations.
- Ability to plan ahead, prioritise and manage change in a formally controlled yet, pragmatic fashion
- Ability to manage multiple streams of work simultaneously
