KT Healthcare is looking for an experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our growing associate team, providing specialist support to children and young people across SEND and education settings.

This is an opportunity to deliver targeted speech and language therapy, working collaboratively with children and young people, their families, education staff and wider professionals to support communication, participation and development.

The current opportunity is for 18 hours across the academic year, including 12 hours of direct therapy and 6 hours of indirect work. The working pattern can be agreed between the therapist, school, family and young person. There will likely be opportunities for further work as we move forward.

About the Role
You will support children and young people presenting with a range of speech, language and communication needs. This may include:

• Receptive and expressive language difficulties
• Speech sound and phonological difficulties
• Social communication and interaction needs
• Autism and other neurodevelopmental needs
• Listening and attention difficulties
• Complex communication needs
• Difficulties impacting learning, relationships and participation

You will work as part of a collaborative team, providing individualised, evidence-based intervention tailored to each young person's needs.

Key Responsibilities
You will:

• Deliver targeted speech and language therapy
• Assess needs and develop appropriate therapy targets
• Develop and demonstrate therapeutic strategies and activities
• Provide written programmes, recommendations and resources
• Review progress and adapt intervention where appropriate
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
• Produce reports and contribute to annual reviews
• Liaise with parents, education staff and other professionals
• Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings where required

About You
We are looking for a qualified Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist who has:

• HCPC registration
• Experience working with children and young people in community or educational settings
• Experience supporting children with a range of speech, language and communication needs
• Experience working with children with SEND and/or neurodevelopmental needs
• Strong clinical assessment, intervention and report-writing skills
• The ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
• Excellent communication and collaborative working skills
• A child-centred and evidence-based approach
