Job summary
Are you qualifying as a pharmacist this year? Are you already a pharmacist but looking to commence a career in hospital pharmacy and wish to work with a small, friendly team to achieve the best outcomes for individual service users? Then we would love to hear from you.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and forward-thinking Pharmacist to join our small, friendly pharmacy team. We have close links to the wider and much larger pharmacy department within the organisation and excellent relationships with Multidisciplinary and Senior level staff on site. We are passionate about providing a high-quality clinical pharmacy service. You would be working within our inpatient setting alongside members of a multi-disciplinary team to support prescribing and offer specialist clinical pharmacy advice. You would be contributing to the recovery pathway of our service users within both medium and low secure forensic wards as well as our step-down wards.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the post holder will be to provide a patient focussed clinical pharmacy service to service users in an inpatient setting. You will be expected to provide a high level of pharmaceutical care to service users as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team and participate in regular ward reviews with the support of the senior pharmacist.
The post holder will plan and direct activities working closely with the Senior pharmacist to ensure that the service is delivered effectively and in a safe manner. The post holder will have a pivotal role in ensuring that the General Pharmaceutical Council standards are met within the unit with particular emphasis on dispensing practices.
