Job summary
Looking for an opportunity to make a difference to the delivery of care for service users in our Older People's Inpatient Service? Do you have the clinical skills and knowledge to develop and inspire nursing staff in the teams? Do you have a real interest and passion in Older People's Mental Health and Dementia care and want to develop your career further in this field?

Not wanting to expand your management role but keen to remain in direct clinical practice? This is the role for you!

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse who has worked in a senior role within Older People's Mental Health Services to join our team based in Leeds. This post covers 4 inpatient teams, 2 mental health wards and 2 wards delivering care to people with dementia.

You will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team within the service and be part of the Practice Development Team working across inpatient and community services.

You will be taking an active role in implementing service initiatives and developments which will enhance the quality of care we deliver to our service users.

Main duties of the job
You will be required to provide expert clinical leadership to the teams, working in partnership with senior colleagues and spend a proportion of your time in clinical practice

Support quality assurance / audit initiatives across the wards.

Support with the service's ambition to have accredited wards via the RCPsych QNOAMHS standards.

Chair the CIF for OPS Inpatients.

The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country.
