We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Midwives who are passionate about delivering high-quality maternity care in the community and dedicated to enhancing the experience of our service users.
What We're Looking For- A positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm for community-based maternity care.
- Strong teamworking skills and the ability to work independently across diverse community settings.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage busy caseloads.
- A commitment to safe, responsive, and personalised care for mothers, babies, and families in their homes and local clinics.
- A genuine interest in contributing to the ongoing development of community midwifery services.
Main Duties of the JobAs a Band 6 Core Community Midwife, you will:
- Provide excellent community based maternity care
- Act as a role model for junior staff and students, supporting their development in community practice.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the community setting.
- Take responsibility for a specific role within the team, such as:
- Staff and student off-duty rota management
- Delivering pregnancy birth and beyond classes
- Breastfeeding Champion
- Junior staff appraisals
- Friends and Family lead
- Audit and safeguarding responsibilities
- Inclusivity and staff morale initiatives
- Mental Health First Aider
