Job summaryApplicants must be on the Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK, or have references which have been authorised by the Deputy Medical Director and Clinical Director.
The Trust is committed to providing sustainable consultant-delivered services to ensure the quality of the patient experience. Working patterns that provide senior cover throughout 24 hours per day, seven days per week will therefore be required. Successful candidates will be expected to work with the Trust and its consultant staff to deliver service patterns and job plans that meet this objective.
Consideration will be given to applicants who wish to work full or part time and those wishing to job share.

Main duties of the jobWe are looking for a dynamic individual to fill this new post within the Gastroenterology Department at the St James’s University Hospital. The aims of this exciting post are to support and further develop the core general gastroenterology and endoscopy service. There will also be an opportunity to pursue specialist interest in interventional endoscopy, including EMR/ESD.
