Job summary

Join our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) as a Band 6 Clinician and help deliver early intervention mental health support to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

MHSTs work in education settings, providing evidence-based interventions, primarily through Low Intensity CBT delivered individually and in groups. You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to improving outcomes for children, young people and families.

We are passionate about empowering children, young people and families to make informed choices about their mental health. We also invest in our staff, supporting continuous professional development and opportunities to enhance clinical skills.

Current vacancies are available in Harborough, Blaby and City North West localities.
MHSTs operate across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, working closely with schools and communities to provide accessible mental health support where it is needed most.

Main duties of the job
As a registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist OR a registered Low Intensity CBT practitioner (EMHP or CWP) you will work in Educational Settings supporting children young people, their families and carers to promote best practice. In addition, you will provide clinical supervision and line management to EMHPs and CWPs in the service.

Candidates must evidence in their application that they have completed Low Intensity Supervisor Training (LIST) or be currently undertaking the course.

Candidates must demonstrate relevant experience in delivering supervision and line management of individuals and teams, within the last 12 months.
