Job Overview:
Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) have a vacancy for a permanent Senior Dietitian to join our friendly, innovative primary care team in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, working for Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust.

Leicester Nutrition and Dietetic Service (Community) has a team of approximately 100 staff, made of dietitians, community nutritionists, dietetic support workers, community food workers and support team staff covering the population of Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.

Main duties of the job
Summary:

The post holder will be a member of the Primary Care nutrition and dietetic team that works across the health care community, including community hospitals, as well as out-patient and telephone clinics.

The post holder will work as part of our community hospital team with particular responsibility for the dietetic input for the specialist stroke rehabilitation in-patient unit in St Lukes community hospital (Market Harborough) , and as such will have a caseload of in-patient adults.

We are looking for a registered dietitian with relevant band 5/6 experience with good leadership, communication and team working skills, who can also work independently.

You will have the opportunity to work with and supervise a Dietetic Support Worker.

Due to the nature of the work a car driver is essential.

The service is committed to CPD and personal development and we have good clinical supervision models and in-house CPD in place to support you.

The service is involved in the pre-registration placements for student dietitians undertaking A, B and C placements, to which the post-holder will contribute.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car during working hours.
