We have an opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Practitioner to join the EIP Team.

If you are a practitioner who is enthusiastic about working with people who have severe mental health problems, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. We are looking for motivated and committed candidates wishing to pursue a career helping people learn to cope with the difficulties associated with Psychosis.

This role will involve working primarily in the West of the county.

Main duties of the job
The Early Intervention in Psychosis Team is located within the Adult Community Mental Health Division and our mission is to provide high quality, evidence-based psychological services to adults who live in Lincolnshire and are experiencing severe and enduring mental health difficulties. The post will involve liaison with other professions within the mental health service, including Mental Health Nurses, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists, Assistant and Trainee Clinical Psychologists, Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners, Support Workers, Peer Support Workers and outside agencies.

The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of care needs, assessment, planning, and implementation of evidence-based care to a defined group of service users and their carers within the service catchment area whilst under the guidance of senior staff. The post holder will provide professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Essential

Qualifications
Essential

• RMN 1st Level Registration (NMC) or degree or equivalent. OR Registered Occupational Therapist OR Registered Social Worker

Experience
Essential

• Relevant experience of working with adults with mental health needs
• Experience of working with people with severe and enduring mental illnesses
• Evidence of continuing professional development

Desirable

• Experience of working with people experiencing a first episode of psychosis

Skills
Essential

• Sound knowledge of national agenda for EIP services
• Highly developed clinical reasoning skills.
• Sound knowledge of clinical/risk assessment and understanding of Information Governances principles
• Highly developed communication skills
• Delegation whilst maintaining overall responsibility for patients care, where appropriate
• Highly motivated & able to engage with service users & carers to improve outcomes.
• Ability to work independently and collectively.
