Job summary
Please note this role is currently only being advertised to staff members who are currently working within the Kent and Medway ICS

Are you an experienced Treatment Planner/Dosimetrist looking for a new challenge? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual for a permanent position within the Treatment Planning group at our Maidstone site.

Kent Oncology Centre currently has nine Varian linear accelerators across the two sites each with dedicated CT-Simulators. We have Eclipse for treatment planning with RapidArc VMAT, IGRT, DIBH and SABR in routine use. This is an exciting time to join our team as we embark on a programme of SABR expansion, including motion management and further expand the use of Eclipse as our principle Treatment Planning System.

Depending on skills and experience we would consider appointing at a lower band and would provide development milestones. We also consider flexible working with the expectation of supporting the working hours of service.

Main duties of the job
As a Treatment Planning Radiographer/Dosimetrist you will participate in all aspects of the Treatment Planning section: production of complex treatment plans including VMAT planning, organs-at-risk outlining and Mould Room assistance. You will also participate in CT simulation, including cannulation and contrast.

Depending on your own particular skills and interests and the future requirements of the service we will actively encourage and support you to develop your role through postgraduate training and role extension.

With a dedicated and diverse team of over 8,000 staff we are proud to offer specialised cancer services to over two million people through the Kent Oncology Centre.

Fordcombe Hospital, near Tunbridge Wells, became part of the Trust in October 2024. Specialising in planned care, it offers two operating theatres, 28 inpatient and day-care beds, diagnostic services (X-ray, MRI, CT, and endoscopy), and consultation/treatment rooms.
