If you are highly motivated, passionate about Gastro-luminal Dietetics and enjoy delivering clinical excellence as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) in a large teaching hospital, then this job is for you.
You will be supported by our Dietetic Team Lead, and work alongside our Band 7 Senior Specialist Colorectal Dietitian to jointly manage the well-established Gastro-luminal & Colorectal team. Together, you will jointly lead on service delivery, evaluation, and development.

To apply for this post, you must have current HCPC registration and a degree, postgraduate diploma or master's degree in Dietetics.
Main duties of the job
Experience in complex nutrition support is essential. You will deliver high-quality, evidenced based care to gastro-luminal inpatients in our High Dependency, Surgical and gastroenterology wards, and run regular outpatient follow-up clinics and group sessions at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
You will be a key member of the Gastro-luminal MDT, contributing to ward rounds, MDT meetings, staff training and service development. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside our Nutrition support team. You will benefit and contribute to cross-site group supervision and service development, linking in with Gastro-luminal Dietitians based at our Wythenshawe and North Manchester sites to develop processes and guidelines and embed them in practice.
As one of the eight Senior Specialist Dietitians in the Adult team at Manchester Royal Infirmary, you will be part of cross specialities working groups. You'll have the opportunity to work jointly with other dietetic experts in their fields and help develop our cohesive team of over thirty Dietitians.
You will be an integral part of our student training programme and support the learning and development of junior colleagues in a relaxed and supportive environment. Our team of nine Band 6 Specialist Dietitians rotate yearly through specialities, and clinically supervise our four General Medical and Surgical Band 5 Dietitians.
