The closing date is 07 September 2026Job SummaryThe Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is looking to appoint a Chair to the Advisory Board on the Registration of Homeopathic Products (ABRHP).
The ABRHP advises the Licensing Authority on the safety and quality of homeopathic medicines for human use when a certificate of registration has been granted or applied for and the safety, quality and indication for use within the UK homeopathic tradition for homeopathic medicines for human use when a homeopathic marketing authorisation has been granted or applied for.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- The Chair must be able to demonstrate the qualities, skills and experience to meet all of the following essential criteria.
- Be medically qualified and have a strong and current scientific background
- Demonstrate an impartial perspective on the use of homeopathy and have an understanding of the importance of regulation of homeopathic medicines.
- Have previous or current experience of high-level committee membership nationally or internationally
- Be a skilled communicator.
- Be able to assimilate complex scientific information at short notice; and provide formal and informal advice to the MHRA between meetings when required.
- Be prepared to relinquish all personal and non-personal interests of a financial nature in the pharmaceutical industry
- Be recognised by their peers as leaders in their field and/or be Fellows of the relevant Royal Colleges.
Desirable- Knowledge of homeopathy would be an advantage but not essential.
