An exciting opportunity has become available to join Ward 5C as a Staff Nurse.

The post-holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs, and the development of programmes of care and/or the implementation and evaluation of programmes. The post-holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision and may require to demonstrate procedures and supervise; qualified and/or unqualified staff.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role are as follows:

• Assess, plan develop and implement programmes of care to patients, providing advice in a variety of settings.
• Carry out nursing procedures in line with current NMC standards of proficiency.
• Ensure the health, wellbeing and independence of patients and service users across healthcare settings, maintaining associated records, ensuring all patients receive safe and effective care at all times.
• Supervision of junior staff and all leavers.
• Understand and demonstrate the Trust values at all times.

We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
