We have an exciting opportunity for an ODP to join our multi-disciplinary theatre team at The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. This role requires an enthusiastic, committed and diligent person who is keen to move into a specialist department, able to work within a dynamic team and will strive to maintain the high standard of care offered to our patients. There will be an on call commitment required as part of the post to cover out of hours working. There will also be an opportunity to develop further skills in scrub and recovery. Main duties of the jobIn your role you will be required to work as a competent member of the Cardiothoracic Theatre team, performing a wide range of duties in the anaesthetic/scrub areas. You will be responsible for assessing care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, developing and maintaining good unit management and organisational skills and assist with the provision of an environment conducive to the education of staff. Your duties will also to include the cleaning, maintenance and safe handling of equipment.
