Job summaryThe Registered Nurse/ODP is required: To provide a high standard of individualised care to patients, whilst maintaining their privacy and dignity at all times. To assess care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care. Contribute to supporting the Deputy / Lead Practitioners. To support the maintenance of high standards of cleanliness in their own clinical area. Work within the anesthetic areas and undertaking competencies as required for the role.
Main duties of the jobAssess the anesthetic care needs of the patients prior to surgery or treatment undertaking competencies as required. Access, plan, implement and evaluate holistic, high quality and individualised care which respects patient personal dignity and beliefs. Maintain a safe working environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Maintain and promote effective communication within the care team and with colleagues, patients' relatives, and visitors. Act as practice supervisor / assessor to students, including teaching and assessing, within their realm of competence, upholding the philosophy of evidence-based practice. Maintain a professional profile and develop skills, knowledge and competencies adhering to the HCPC/NMC code of professional conduct and Trust policies and procedures.

- Teaching Qualification (Desirable)
Experience- Experience within operating department including paediatrics (Essential)
