Job summary
The Adult Burns Ward is excited to welcome a new Staff Nurse to our dedicated and specialist team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and approachable Registered Nurse with a genuine passion for Burns and Plastic Surgery Nursing and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.

Based within St Andrew's Regional Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery, you will be part of a world-renowned service recognised for its excellence in patient care, innovation and clinical expertise. Our team is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism while providing exceptional support to patients throughout their recovery journey.

Burns and Plastics nursing offers a unique and rewarding career experience, caring for patients with a wide range of complex needs. The Adult Burns Ward provides exposure to a diverse patient population and a variety of specialist treatments, making every day different and offering continuous opportunities to develop your clinical knowledge and skills.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team and play a key role in providing high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive clinical environment.

In this rewarding role, you will deliver a high standard of individualised care, ensuring that every patient is treated with dignity, respect and compassion at all times. You will assess patients' needs, plan and implement appropriate care, and regularly evaluate outcomes to ensure the highest standards of clinical practice are maintained.

Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the coordination and delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care. You will also support the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in the day-to-day management of the clinical area, helping to maintain excellent standards and promote continuous improvement.

A key part of the role involves maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and colleagues. You will take an active role in supporting high standards of cleanliness, infection prevention and quality care within your clinical area.
