Main duties of the job
We are a supportive and encouraging department and you will be part of a solid team of paediatric nurses with different levels of experience. This will provide you with the support and camaraderie to make each day a good one. We have a number of band 7 senior sisters working directly within the department as well as a dedicated practice development team which work wholly on enabling you to develop your skills and experiences and facilitate further learning and training.

We receive a wide variety of emergency patients, including trauma, medical, surgical, haematology and oncology admissions.

Essential

• RSCN / RN (child)
• NMC Pin
• Nursing/student nursing experience in the care of the child and family in an acute paediatric care setting.

Desirable

• PILS qualification
• Experience or awareness of child protection issues
