Job summaryHave you got leadership skills and experience in Burns and Plastics? An exciting opportunity has arisen on Mayflower ward as a Charge Nurse.
If you have a passion for plastic surgery trauma and elective care then this would be the position for you.
You will need to demonstrate specialist expertise and professional knowledge acquired through post registration academic study, clinical, leadership and management development where you will work and act as a role model for professional practice and leadership.
You will enhance your own role and that of team members in keeping with the NHS Plan, 2000 and will work closely with the Matron, Head of Nursing and Clinicians in embedding the principles of Clinical Governance in order to maintain /improve and develop high standards of patient care.
Main duties of the job- Professionally accountable and responsible for the standards and delivery of nursing care within your area of management.
- Responsible for standards of cleanliness in your own clinical area.
- Named budget holder and authorized signatory for financial resources.
- Responsible for the information governance on your Ward/Department and the completeness of data.
- Place the patient's experience at the core of service delivery throughimplementation and continued monitoring of Essence of Care standards and patient satisfaction surveys.
- Work collaboratively with the PALS and Patient Forums to investigate andresolve patient concerns/ complaints, involving ward staff in developing action plans and progress development meetings.
