Job SummaryFlexible working for the Trust Bank
Main duties of the job- To provide a clinical service to drug users consistent to their needs including individual treatment and care packages underpinned by a sound evidence base.
- To develop and maintain effective liaison with other agencies including Drug Intervention Programme Teams, non-statutory services, specialist drug and alcohol services, community mental health teams, social work teams and local G.P.s.
- To contribute to the development of service protocols and policies in line with national guidance.
- To ensure that accurate notes of all consultations with service users are recorded clearly and fully in clinical notes.
- To signpost service users to other services, which will meet their needs in accordance with the objectives in their care plan and to ensure appropriate liaison is maintained.
- To provide tailored treatment interventions including general health assessments and screening, community detoxification, medication titration, stabilization programs and relapse prevention plans with a particular focus on taking the lead for those with blood borne virus infections or related health problems.
- To provide information to the Director, the Clinical Governance Lead and Team Manager when required to do so.
- To be a specialist resource within the team with regards to blood borne virus infections, to inclusion and to multi-agency partners.

ExperienceEssential- Considerable experience of working with drug users and as a Qualified Registered Nurse.
- A sound knowledge of drugs and their effects
SkillsEssential- Ability to work with drug/alcohol users in a Community environment
