Brockington Parent and Baby Unit are recruiting 2 x Band 3 mental health support workers.In the role you will work on a Perinatal Mental Health Inpatient unit, delivering a high-quality clinical service to patients and their families. You will be working within a specialist multi-disciplinary team and will have access to regular supervision.
You will be delivering supportive interventions, in accordance with an agreed care plan, to an identified group of people experiencing mental health related difficulties in the Perinatal period.
You will work in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team and will provide interventions to support the person to meet their agreed goals and coordinate and / or participate in the review of progress towards those goals, utilising recommended outcome measures, involving the service user and any identified carer throughout the clinical pathway.

The job is based on Brockington Parent and Baby unit therefore care delivery focusses on the whole family not exclusively the inpatient.

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Advanced Apprenticeship in (Mental) health and Social Care or NVQ in Mental Health and Social Care
- Health social care qualification at least equivalent to the above that equips the person with the necessary knowledge, skill and competence listed in the job description
Desirable- Evidence of Mental Health qualifications & related work experience in related field.
evidenced experienceEssential- knowledge and awareness of issues relating to mental health, access to mental health services, and mental health promotion.
- experience of working with people with complex Mental Health Needs in a community or inpatient setting.
Desirable- Experience of working with people with Psychosis or substance misuse
