Main duties of the jobThe role combines direct support, community development and partnership working. It connects people with crisis payments and other financial assistance where eligible, as well as advice, health, housing, specialist and community-based support.

Job responsibilitiesJob PurposeThe Financial & Mental Health Resilience Worker will provide compassionate, responsive and person-centred support to individuals and families experiencing crisis or financial hardship. The post holder will assess need, develop personalised support plans, provide practical information and support, and connect people with services and community resources that improve wellbeing and independence.
Working within a local and county-wide team, the post holder will build trusted relationships, respond promptly to urgent referrals, identify the network of support around each person, and adapt support as circumstances change. The role will uphold a 'no wrong door' approach by working collaboratively with voluntary, community and statutory partners and supporting warm connections into relevant services.
Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Three years experience working in mental health services.
- Experience of organising and facilitating group and activity support work with a diverse group of individuals.
- Experience and knowledge of empowering others to engage and work towards positive outcomes.
Desirable- Experience of facilitating group work with young adults and/or older adults.
- Experience of working with VCSE and statutory partners across partnership work.
- Experience of mental health issues and/or services, either as a user, carer or supporter.
QualificationsEssential- Good literacy and numeracy skills, demonstrated by a good standard of GCSEs, including Maths and English, at Grade C or above.
- Educated to degree level in a health-related subject or equivalent work experience in the mental health field.
