Clinical Applications Specialist - Ultrasound
Southwest England & Wales | Remote-based

Highly Competitive Salary + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits

Ready to leave the scanning room and influence the future of ultrasound?
Use your clinical ultrasound expertise in a high-impact commercial role with a global medical technology business.

Are you an experienced Sonographer, Advanced Practitioner or Ultrasound Clinical Specialist looking for the next step in your career?

Perhaps you've built your expertise within the NHS and want the opportunity to use your clinical knowledge in a broader, more influential role. Or maybe you're already working in a commercial applications position and are looking for a bigger challenge with one of the fastest-growing names in medical technology.

At Mindray, we are transforming healthcare through innovation, education, and customer partnership. Our ultrasound business continues to grow across the UK, creating an exciting opportunity for a passionate Clinical Applications Specialist to support customers across Southwest England and Wales.

This is your opportunity to become the clinical expert behind advanced ultrasound technologies, helping clinicians improve patient care while shaping the future success of an ambitious organisation.

Why Join Mindray?

Career growth and autonomy
This role offers the chance to work with autonomy, influence customer success, support clinical education, and develop your career in a growing global organisation.

The Opportunity
As a Clinical Applications Specialist - Ultrasound, you will be the trusted clinical expert supporting healthcare professionals across Southwest England and Wales.

Working closely with Sales, Service and Clinical colleagues, you'll deliver engaging product demonstrations, support clinical evaluations, provide installation training and become a valued partner to sonographers, radiologists, emergency clinicians, obstetric teams and other healthcare professionals.

Your work will directly influence customer success, product adoption, and, ultimately, better patient outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Delivering impactful ultrasound demonstrations to healthcare professionals.
  • Supporting pre-sales evaluations, customer trials, and procurement discussions.
  • Providing engaging post-installation training, education, and clinical support.
  • Helping customers optimize workflow, clinical utilization, and confidence with Mindray ultrasound systems.
  • Building strong relationships with sonographers, clinicians, and department leaders.
  • Supporting conferences, workshops, and educational events.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for Mindray ultrasound solutions.
  • Collaborating closely with Sales, Service, Marketing and Clinical Applications colleagues.

What We're Looking For
Essential
  • Qualified Sonographer, Ultrasound Practitioner or equivalent clinical ultrasound professional.
  • Strong hands-on ultrasound scanning experience.
  • Experience training, mentoring, coaching, or educating healthcare professionals.
  • Experience demonstrating ultrasound equipment, clinical techniques, or ultrasound applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Comfortable with regular travel across Southwest England and Wales, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role.
  • Permanent right to work in the UK without requiring company sponsorship.

Highly Desirable
  • NHS ultrasound background.
  • Experience in General Imaging, Women's Health, Vascular, Point-of-Care or Cardiology Ultrasound.
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Applications Specialist.
  • Commercial Ultrasound experience.
  • Involvement in equipment evaluations, procurement projects, or ultrasound technology adoption.

Don't worry if you've never worked in a commercial applications role before. If you're an exceptional sonographer with a passion for ultrasound education, customer interaction, and helping others get the best from technology, we'd still love to hear from you.

Who Will Thrive Here?
  • You love teaching, coaching, and developing customer knowledge.
  • You enjoy presenting, demonstrating, and influencing clinicians.
  • You want to move beyond routine scanning while keeping ultrasound at the heart of your career.
  • You like variety, autonomy, and being out on the road.
  • You are excited by innovation and new technology.
  • You want to be part of a business where your contribution genuinely matters.

The Bottom Line
This is far more than a training role.

It's an opportunity to become a recognized expert, influence ultrasound practice across your region, work with advanced technology, and join a global organisation investing in the future of healthcare.

If you're passionate about ultrasound and ready to take your career in a new direction, we'd love to hear from you.
