Key Responsibilities Include:

• Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.
• Develop Forensic strategies according to FFLM guidelines.
• Actively working in partnership with external MDTs and Police.
• Point of contact for Police and Social Services to discuss referral pathways.
• Undertaking holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
• Supporting the continued quality improvement of the service.
• Working under the Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
• Obtaining consent for Health and Forensic procedures

Requirements
Essential Skills & Knowledge:

• GMC-registered Doctor
• A minimum of 3 years + relevant post foundation experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and adults
• Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality
• Experience of working in Sexual health, Paediatrics, GP or Obs/Gynae
• A UK driving license is required for this role and access to a vehicle
• Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required. This requires residency for 3 years in the UK
• Medical Indemnity by start date is also a requirement and will be your responsibly for the cost of obtaining and maintaining this cover.

Desired:

• Diploma in Legal Medicine
• Member of the Faculty for Forensic and Legal Medicine
• Previous experience working in a SARC setting or custodial environments

• Note that we cannot support International Visas.
• Police Vetting is a requirement of the post.
