Bank Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (adult acquired conditions)
Band 7 £52,845- £61,466 per annum (pro rata)
plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,461 (pro rata)

We are looking for an experienced SLT to join the staff bank and work alongside our friendly and supportive team as and when needed at the Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway, Lewis.

You will be responsible for delivering on-island, in-person services to adults with acquired disorders of communication and swallowing across acute, outpatient and community settings. You will be fully dysphagia-trained and have experience independently managing an adult neuro caseload. Ideally, you will have experience in performing, analysing and interpreting videofluoroscopy swallowing studies. You will also have experience delivering speech and language rehabilitation and providing specialist AAC interventions for adults with long-term and progressive communication disorders.

A car driver is required due to the requirement to provide home visits in remote and rural locations where public transport is limited.
