The Trailblazer Resilience Hub in York and North Yorkshire continues to support people who are out of work due to ill health, helping them return to meaningful employment. Delivered in partnership with Humber and North Yorkshire ICB and hosted by Nimbuscare, the Hub provides trauma-informed mental health and wellbeing services, linking people to local support networks and enabling sustainable outcomes.
We are offering flexible, ad hoc opportunities for Psychological Practitioners and on a zero-hours or locum contractor basis. You can choose to deliver sessions that fit around your existing portfolio, providing high-impact support while maintaining flexibility. We welcome applications from individuals able to commit to half a day, one day, two days, or more per week, depending on your availability.

Main duties of the jobAbout the Trailblazer Resilience Hub The Hub offers virtual psychological support, acting as a single point of access for timely, confidential, and high-quality care. It delivers trauma-focused interventions while collaborating with regional services, employers, and stakeholders to support people returning to work from long-term mental health sickness.
You will deliver psychological assessments and interventions, contribute to workforce training, and support strategic engagement across the region.
Key responsibilities include:- Delivering trauma-focused psychological interventions for anxiety, depression, and trauma across the lifespan
- Supporting outreach and engagement initiatives across the region
- Collaborating with Primary Care Networks, Occupational Health, Mental Health providers, other NHS and independent care providers and other agencies
- Participating in group work, supervision, teaching, and research as required.

Person SpecificationSkills and CompetenciesEssential- Ability to exercise autonomous professional judgement in complex situations.
- Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to convey complex or sensitive information clearly and compassionately to a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to plan, prioritise, and organise own workload effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute specialist expertise within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to supervise, mentor, or support less experienced staff within agreed parameters.
- Competence in record keeping, report writing, and use of relevant information systems.
- Experience and confidence delivering psychological assessment and therapy remotely using digital platforms.
Desirable- Skills in delivering formal teaching, training, or presentations.

QualificationsEssential- Psychologist -Doctorate Level (or equivalent) qualification in clinical, counselling, or forensic psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
- Psychological Therapist -Relevant professional qualification at post graduate level (or equivalent) appropriate to the role and discipline in CBT or EMDR)
- Registration with the appropriate professional body (e.g. HCPC, NMC or equivalent), where applicable or accreditation with BABCP or EMDR Europe
- Have a Core Profession recognised by the BABCP or KSA Knowledge of trauma-informed principles and psychologically informed environments.
- Understanding of the impact of trauma, adversity and health inequalities on wellbeing, functioning
- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Desirable- Additional post graduate qualification relevant to specialist practice area.
- Formal training in supervision or mentorship.
KnowledgeEssential- Advanced professional knowledge relevant to the role, including evidence based practice and current professional standards.
- Sound knowledge of risk assessment, risk management, and safeguarding frameworks.
- Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children procedures and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, and ethical frameworks applicable to the role.
- Understanding of clinical or professional governance systems, including quality assurance and accountability.
Desirable- Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies.
- Awareness of organisational strategy and service priorities relevant to the role
ExperienceEssential- Significant post qualification experience working at an advanced professional level within a complex service environment.
- Experienced Practitioner in the delivery of CBT, DBT, Schema, CFT, ACT, or EMDR.
- Experience of managing a complex workload or caseload with a high degree of autonomy.
- Experience of working effectively within multidisciplinary or multiagency teams.
- Experience of contributing to service improvement, audit, or quality initiatives within own area of practice
- Experience of working with individuals presenting with trauma-related difficulties.
Desirable- Experience of providing supervision, teaching, or training to others.
- Experience of contributing to research, service evaluation, or innovation
