Job summaryWe are looking to recruit an enthusiastic 8a Clinical Psychologist to join our supportive Paediatric psychology team to serve the needs of young people and their families with acute and long-term health conditions. We are seeking a bank psychologist to cover sick leave in Paediatric Diabetes for 15 hours per week, for a period of 8 weeks. We are keen for this psychologist to start ASAP. Experience in Paediatrics is desirable but not absolutely necessary, and a passion for working with children, young people and their families is essential. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 29th July 2026.
Main duties of the jobThe post will include work with children, young people and their families on psychological issues, such as the impact of diabetes and the challenges associated with managing this. This will include outpatient assessment and therapy for families, as well as offering advice and consultation to the wider team. Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Post-graduate doctorate (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) in Clinical Psychology
ExperienceEssential- Experience of the application of psychology in different cultural contexts
Desirable- Experience of working within the Clinical Speciality
