Job SummaryWe are inviting expressions of interest from motivated and experienced nurses to join our Infection Prevention and Control Team as a Band 6 Infection Prevention and Control Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for infection prevention and a commitment to improving patient safety. As part of the supportive multidisciplinary team, we play a key role in promoting best practises, conducting surveillance, managing outbreaks and providing expert advice across clinical and non-clinical settings. In this post you will be given opportunities to lead on infection prevention and control initiatives, acting as a link between clinical teams and the IPC Team. We are looking for someone who is a Registered Nurse with substantial post registration experience and a keen interest or experience in infection prevention and control.
Main duties of the job- Surveillance of infections, supporting outbreak management
- Contributing to policy/guideline development and auditing adherence to standards of practice
- Contributing to antimicrobial stewardship
- Providing expert clinical advice
- Providing education and training to staff across all levels
