Job summary
The HART Team Educator (TE) will be an experienced HART Operative reporting to and acting on behalf of the HART Training Manager when required. The HART Team Educator is responsible for the compliance of staff training to enable the delivery of patient care in their HART team against national and trust standards, ensuring compliance against commissioning requirements. The post holder will promote the trust values, encouraging staff to continuously improve the care and clinical quality of the service they provide to patients, they will exercise autonomy, decision making, judgement and discretion, at a level appropriate to this role, delivering clear leadership and subject matter (HART) expertise by personally demonstrating the highest organisational, professional and personals standards in the best interest of patients and the Trust. This will be while working collaboratively with the teams associated Team Leader.

During operational shifts there is a requirement to fulfil the role of the shift Team Leader, or work clinically as an operative on a dual or solo crewed resource.

Will work closely with other emergency service personnel at incidents in line with well-established Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles (JESIP).

Must be prepared to be deployed to protracted incidents and, where necessary, in support of mutual aid requests to other Trusts where they could be away from home for a number of nights, at little or no notice.

Main duties of the job
Adhere to Trust policies and best practice thereby maintaining and promoting the highest professional standards, including clinical practice, conduct, attendance and compliance with the dress code.

Demonstrate and maintain a positive attitude and commitment to Equal Opportunities and diversity.

Agree Personal Development Review (PDR) with all direct reports. Appraise performance and provide feedback to ensure local objectives and Personal Development Plans are achieved. Deal fairly and rigorously with underperformance.

Attend identified courses to maintain and increase personal knowledge base, including trust management training.

Develop specialised knowledge of HART principles, capabilities and procedures.

To maintain competencies through continuation training, both practical and theoretical and be included into the HART PRV rota.

Attend and complete nationally required training programmes.

Be responsible for personal contribution to the development of HART and where necessary, the testing and evaluation of new initiatives.

Enhance own performance through continuously developing own knowledge, skills and behaviours to meet the current and future requirements of the job and respond to the learning needs of the Trust.

• HCPC Registered Paramedic
• Teaching/Assessing qualification (NVQ level 3 or above)

Previous Experience

• Operational ambulance experience.
