Job summaryThe Enfield CRHTT is a 24hr, 7 day per week service which provides urgent care for people experiencing mental health crisis as an alternative to hospital admission. The CRHTT is crucial in delivering urgent crisis resolution assessments and treatment for service users by assessing their needs and caring for them in the least restrictive environment. The service also ensures effective gate keeping of all service users referred to the service for admission to hospital. The post holder will ensure a high-quality responsive service to service users and referrers. The team manager is central to delivering development and effective operational management of the CRHTT. He/she will be expected to work closely with and be supported by the team's consultant psychiatrist and 2 Band 7 Deputy Managers. The post holder will receive regular support and clinical supervision from the Service Lead.
Main duties of the job- Manage the workload of the team, ensuring suitable service users are accepted onto the caseload according to the service specification and relevant referral and eligibility criteria.
- To provide overall leadership and management for the designated team to ensure their services are integrated and responsive to service users' needs.
- To act as a role model in clinical practice area and to foster within the team the development of a broad range of clinical expertise in evidence based treatments.
- To provide clinical leadership developing the service user care pathway to ensure that the family members and social networks of the clients in the service are identified and supported, and seen as an integral part of the client's recovery.
- Monitor and act upon all reported accidents and incidents in accordance with trust policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
- Complaints management in accordance with trust policies, procedures and statutory requirements. To ensure systems are in place to respond promptly, appropriately and to complaints and queries regarding the service.
- Participate in the development and monitoring of systems, policies, standards and procedures, which ensure compliance with best practice procedures and NICE guidelines.
- Establish and maintain accurate up to date systems for recording patient related activity in accordance with Trust and Commissioner reporting and KPI requirements and make available such information to the Trust and Commissioners as required.

- Establish and maintain accurate up to date systems for recording patient related activity in accordance with Trust and Commissioner reporting and KPI requirements and make available such information to the Trust and Commissioners as required.
- Attend MDT meetings and ensure effective presentation of clinical reports and information, overseeing the effective delivery of the MDT processes.
- Liaise with other MDT disciplines to ensure effective collaborative working and consistent approaches to the delivery of care.
- Attendance at borough and trust-wide meetings where required.
- Monitor and ensure that legal processes and documentation are in line with MHA (1983) guidelines and MCA policy and procedures.
- To assist the Service Manager in providing effective management of identified budgets and staffing resources for the team.

Person SpecificationEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS- Registered with NMC as RMN, or Dip SW, or registered with HCPC
- Mentorship qualification or equivalent.
- First or higher/Masters degree in appropriate subject area to specialisation or Equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE- Significant experience working within Mental Health Services at Band 7
- Experience of leading a Mental Health Crisis service
- Ability and experience in managing/implementing local quality assurance systems in particular audit process
- Knowledge of current practice and clinical, managerial and policy issues related to the clinical specialty and the wider NHS
SKILLS AND ABILITIES- Possession and evidence of effective leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their carers
- Excellent communication skills including verbal and written skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while remaining calm and maintaining quality.
