Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at North Tyneside Talking Therapies as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP).

North Tyneside Talking Therapies service currently operates Monday- Friday including one evening (until 19:30) shift on a Wednesday or Thursday per week. Currently the service offers a flexible working arrangement between at home and in office working (60% in office minimum expected). However this is not contractual and may be subject to change based on patient needs). The contractual role expectation is to work from venues within North Tyneside. Main duties of the job
The post-holder will work within the North Tyneside Talking Therapies Service providing assessment and high-volume low intensity psychological interventions; these comprise a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self-management interventions to assist clients who experience mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety and depression. These interventions will be delivered via digital, video, face to face, telephone and groups.

Job responsibilities

• The post-holder will work within the North Tyneside Talking Therapies Service providing high volume low intensity psychological interventions as a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP)
• The post holder will provide a range of low intensity CBT based (cognitive behavioural therapy) self management interventions to support a caseload of clients who experience mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety and depression.
• The post holder will deliver evidence-based psychological interventions in line with the Talking Therapies manual and NICE guidelines to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients
• The post holder will be committed to continual professional development as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
• To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership practices within your role in order to support a collective leadership culture within the service and trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) demonstrates psychologically safe behaviours, and (c) contributes team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries

Qualifications
Essential

• Qualification from Low Intensity PWP Training Course (Post Graduate Certificate in mental health) or equivalent PWP apprenticeship qualification)
• Professional registration with BABCP/BPS - Post holder will be expected to complete this within 6 months of appointment.

Desirable

• IAPT Low Intensity Supervision Qualification

Experience & Knowledge
Essential

• Experience of working in the local community
• Evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem.
• Experience of delivering Low Intensity Interventions in an IAPT model.
• Experience of assessing patient's suitability for IAPT therapies.
• Experience of working in a service with agreed targets in place - demonstrating clinical outcomes
• Received training (either formal or through experience) and carried out risk assessments within scope of practice

Desirable

• Experience of working in Primary Care Services
• Experience of peer supervising PWP's delivering Low Intensity Interventions
• Knowledge of or experience in coaching and mentoring practices and tools
• Knowledge of or experience in Quality improvement tools, techniques and methods

• It is desirable that the post holder has a valid driving license and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role. However, the Trust would consider making reasonable adjustments to the role, if necessary, to enable a disabled person to undertake the role
