Job summaryWe are looking to recruit a highly motivated Registered Nurse to deliver and support the best quality and personalised care to patients within our Outpatients department at Treatment Centre, Nottingham University Hospitals.
You will be a part of a dedicated and valued team that ensure the standards of patient care is always maintained. You will be based at Treatment Centre, but may be required to work across both campuses which includes City campus with a FREE medilink to provide easy access between sites. Previous experience in Outpatients is desired but not essential and the right candidate will be given full support and training.

The successful candidate will deliver best quality care to patients within our Outpatients department.
The successful candidates will be based at Treatment Centre where we support, Gynaecology services and other specialities.
They will facilitate efficient and effective care and communication between the patient and their care provider.
Carry out various forms of direct and indirect patient care without direct supervision including supporting patients at Outpatient appointments.
Regularly take charge of the clinical area in the absence of the person who has continuing responsibility or his / her deputy.
Utilises and integrates evidence into their practice.
You will work closely with all members of the teams, across many specialties within the Outpatient department.

Person SpecificationTraining & QualificationsEssential- Current level one NMC registration with PIN number
Desirable- Diploma or degree in health / nursing related studies.
- Evidence of continuing professional development / reflective profile
- Possession of a Mentoring Course
- Competent in medicines management
- Have or willing to undertake a suitable teaching & assessing qualification
ExperienceEssential- Recent experience of working within an acute hospital setting
- Experience of delivering nursing care to a group of patients
- Experience of supervision of non-registered staff and students
Desirable- Previous experience in Outpatients.
- Demonstrate an involvement in link nurse
Communication and relationship skillsEssential- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate basic IT skills
- Recognition of own level of competence and limitations and able to communicate these to appropriate staff
Desirable- Demonstrate Computer literacy & use of IT skills e.g. email, Excel, PowerPoint and word
