It is an exciting time for shaping and developing Nottinghamshire Eating Disorder Service. Most recent developments include developing a pathway for our patients who have a severe and enduring eating disorder

This role will support in communicating complex, up to date information relating to the health needs of clients, carers, colleagues and the wider population in a meaningful way.

They will also lead on matters related to OT provision within the wider Adult Eating Disorder Team, this will include offering packages of care for patients within the adult eating disorder service professional consultation to other professionals and services.

Main duties of the job
The Specialist Adult ED Service OT post is within the Eating Disorder service within The Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The role requires a high level of clinical and professional expertise in order that in the longer-term needs of clients.

Physical requirements

Qualifications

• Recognised OT Degree/diploma.
• RCOT Registered.
• HCPC Registered.

Training

• Portfolio of relevant post qualification CPD including specialist knowledge of Sensory attachment / Integration and the impact on service users with a range of Neurodevelopmental / Developmental disabilities such as Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, etc.

Experience

• Working experience of assessing and managing a complex caseload with adults with MH needs.
• Experience of effective multi-disciplinary/agency working and established interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Experience of designing and delivering different learning and development opportunities for staff teams.
• Experience of delivering environmental approaches to OT service delivery and evaluating them.
• Experience of providing professional consultation.

Knowledge

• Specialist applied knowledge of working with young people/adults with sensory/attachment/trauma with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities.
• Knowledge of appropriate tools, assessments and interventions relating to the client group.
• Knowledge of National Policy and guidance and impact on local practice.
