Salary up to £51,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

As a Senior Staff Nurse at our Guildford Hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will:

• Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring
• Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be
• Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient’s needs
• Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
• Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students
• Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training

Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital provides high-quality healthcare working with leading Consultants to offer a range of services and treatments for preventing, diagnosing and treating a wide array of medical conditions and offer a wide range of complex surgery and services. Our care is matron led and we are proud to have received a "good" rating from the health care regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Our facilities include 49 en-suite patient bedrooms, 4 operating theatres, acute dependency and oncology units. We’ve been awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark for cancer care. Our site is shared with an NHS Trust hospital, giving us access to their facilities. The working atmosphere is highly professional and stimulating, yet friendly and collaborative like that of a large family unit.
The hospital is easily accessible from the A3 or M25 and we are located about 1.5 miles from Guildford town centre.
