We have opportunities for a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to join our established, supportive Early Interventions in Psychosis Service.

The Early Interventions Service provides care and treatment to 14 - 65 year olds who have experienced a first episode of psychosis. As a team, we strive to ensure that we deliver high quality, holistic, patient-centred care and that our staff are supported in their roles and encouraged to develop. We follow the EIS ethos of quality, multi-disciplinary input for service users and their carers / family members.

This role will require you to travel between community locations across Buckinghamshire.

Applicants must have a full valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who works well in a team, but also has the ability to work independently using their own initiative. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of mental health, particularly psychosis and the impact this can have on an individual as well as their family, friends and carers.

You will have an interest in psychosis and be able to manage a caseload. We are also looking for an individual with an interest in family work with a view to training to deliver Behavioural Family Therapy.

We are also looking for an individual with an interest in service improvement projects and for whom inclusivity - for patients and staff - is important.

We can offer you regular supervision, with Personal Development Reviews and ongoing professional development through a range of training (internal and external). You will also have the opportunity to develop others, for example through mentoring students. Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, including time management and prioritisation of the needs of their caseload. In addition, they will work independently as part of a multidisciplinary team to diagnose, assess, plan and implement client-specific care. EIS is a county wide team and the successful applicant would have a caseload across the county.

We offer training in Behavioural Family Therapy (BFT) to all of our care coordinators as well as opportunities to be part of our service improvement / QI projects.

• Experience of working with people with mental health problems, within a multi-disciplinary team.
• To have good understanding of diversity and equality issues within mental health services
• To understand and have experience of Risk Management / Safeguarding

• Experience of working with psychosis

• Experience of complex legal issues

Qualifications
Essential

• Relevant professional Registration (NMC / HCPC / Social Work England)

Desirable

• Post Graduate Education specifically relating to Mental Heath
• Additional relevant training

Other
Essential

• To be able to manage in a busy working environment working with complex cases (with patients and carers) to your post
• To have a good understanding of Clinical Governance
• Experience of working in a community team

Desirable

• At least two years experience of complex caseload management
• Evidence of experience in working with families / carers.
• Understanding of EIS ethos
