Job SummaryYou will work independently, carrying out patient care in collaboration with the registered nursing staff ensuring the smooth running of the unit. You will be expected to support, supervise and develop further the role of the Health Care Assistant within the clinical area. There is an active in service training program and continued professional development is viewed as integral to providing quality patient care. The post holder will be required to work flexible shift work.
Main Duties of the JobAn opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner/ Registered Nurse Associate to join our team within the Trauma Unit.
The post holder must have an Associate Nurse/Assistant Practitioner Foundation Degree. It is essential that the person is enthusiastic, motivated and passionate about providing high quality, safe, patient centred care. Good communication skills are essential and the ability to work with people as part of a multidisciplinary team.
About UsThe Trauma Unit consists of two 24-bedded Trauma Wards (2A and 3A). We care for adults over the age of 16 who have a variety of injuries including major trauma injuries, spinal injuries and fragility fractures.
