Salary: £42,000 - £43,000
Location: Falkirk - Central area in Scotland
This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in a month at 23:59 BST.

The Vacancy
Are you a qualified Occupational Health Advisor looking for a varied and rewarding role where you can make a genuine impact on employee health and wellbeing?

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) to join our growing team, supporting a portfolio of valued clients. This is a dynamic role offering a combination of telephone case management, face-to-face assessments, health surveillance, screening, and wellbeing initiatives, providing the opportunity to deliver the full Occupational Health remit.

This is a hybrid position, you will need to be fully mobile and willing to travel to client sites as required.

Location: Falkirk & surrounding areas
Hours: Monday - Friday. x40 Hours per week (30 minute unpaid lunchbreak)

The Role
As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will play a key role in promoting health, wellbeing, and fitness for work across a diverse client base. Working alongside a dedicated team of Occupational Health Technicians, Physiotherapists, Administrators, and Clinical Leads, you will deliver high-quality Occupational Health services and support positive health outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Delivering the full Occupational Health remit, including health surveillance, health promotion, wellbeing engagement, and fitness-for-work assessments.
  • Managing a varied caseload through telephone and face-to-face case management consultations.
  • Conducting management referrals and providing evidence-based occupational health advice.
  • Undertaking mixed clinics including:
    • Management referrals
    • Health surveillance
    • New starter employment screening
    • Security Clearance (SC) medicals
    • Telephone assessments
    • Face-to-face assessments
  • Supporting the Clinical Lead in delivering Occupational Health services and wellbeing programmes in partnership with clients.
  • Carrying out immunisations, vaccinations, venepuncture, and other clinical procedures as required.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential health records in accordance with legislation and professional standards.
  • Producing management reports and contributing to safe and effective Occupational Health practice.
  • Promoting employee wellbeing through preventative, rehabilitative, and proactive health interventions.
  • Supporting multiple clients through a combination of home-based and on-site service delivery.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified Occupational Health professional with strong communication skills and a passion for supporting employee wellbeing.

Essential requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN and no restrictions on practice.
  • Qualified Occupational Health Advisor (Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health) desirable/Experienced Occupational Health Advisor
  • Experience delivering telephone case management and face-to-face Occupational Health consultations.
  • Strong knowledge of Occupational Health practice and fitness-for-work assessments.
  • Ability to provide clear, practical advice on health and work-related matters.
  • Experience undertaking health screening activities including:
    • Audiometry
    • Spirometry
    • General medicals
    • Drug and alcohol testing
  • Knowledge of UK Occupational Health legislation and employment law.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office and Occupational Health software systems.
  • Minimum of 12 months' UK-based Occupational Health experience.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel to client sites as required.

Desirable:
  • Experience delivering pre-employment screening and health surveillance programmes.
  • Previous experience supporting a portfolio of clients across multiple locations.
  • Experience contributing to workplace wellbeing and health promotion initiatives.
