Do you love getting hands-on with HPLC and seeing your results move a project forward? Are you keen to build your analytical skills in a fast-paced, GMP environment alongside experienced scientists? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for a Scientist in Analytical Chemistry with solid HPLC experience, ideally alongside GC, SFC, NMR or other techniques used to characterise APIs. You'll support our chemistry projects, help develop and validate analytical methods, contribute to the characterisation of Starting Materials, Intermediates and APIs, and work closely with our Process Chemistry colleagues.

What you'll bring

• A BSc (Hons) or MSc in Analytical Chemistry or Chemistry
• Relevant experience in an Analytical Chemistry laboratory
• Significant expertise in HPLC and/or UPLC methods
• Hands-on experience and up-to-date knowledge of other analytical methodologies
• Experience working to GLP and GMP

• Analysing APIs, Intermediates, Starting Materials and Raw Materials using HPLC and other analytical methods
• Delivering your assigned tasks to tight deadlines
• Stepping in to learn new techniques whenever a project needs it
• Solving scientific problems as they arise
• Working effectively in a GMP laboratory

Picture yourself on our Hoddesdon campus in Hertfordshire: several purpose-built scientific and administrative buildings, a dedicated conference area and more than 5,000 m² of premier R&D space. It's home to established Process Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Product Development and Drug Discovery teams, with state-of-the-art GMP facilities for API development, Oral Solid Dose manufacture, formulation development and process chemistry. Your team
Our Analytical Chemistry team supports other chemistry functions and our science partners with advanced analytical solutions that help move medicines to market. Here you'll:

• Gain exposure to a wide range of modern techniques, including UHPLC, NMR and GC-MS
• Experience both early- and late-phase pharmaceutical development
• Apply your problem-solving skills across a wide variety of R&D projects
• Contribute to the development and validation of modern methods for testing raw materials, intermediates, APIs and material characterisation
• Explore further opportunities in polymorph screening, crystallisation optimisation and pre-formulation development
