Job summary
Physiological Measurements Ltd is seeking a dedicated Sonographer to join our team in Bromley, specialising in transvaginal (TV) ultrasound scans. We deliver high-quality community diagnostics, supporting patients close to home.

Main duties of the job
You will perform transvaginal (TV) ultrasound investigations, working independently to undertake and interpret diagnostic imaging, formulate clinical reports, and contribute to service development and innovation. The role involves working across clinic locations, so the ability to travel independently is essential.

Physiological Measurements Ltd (PML) is a UK-based, award-winning provider of community non-invasive diagnostic services. PML operates in partnership with the NHS and private clients to deliver accessible, high-quality diagnostic care across England.

PML specialises in:

• Cardiology diagnostics (e.g. ECG, echocardiograms)
• Non-obstetric ultrasound (NOUS) including abdominal, MSK, vascular, and gynaecological scans
• Sports cardiology screening
• Community diagnostic services under AQP (Any Qualified Provider) contracts

Job responsibilities

• Undertake and interpret diagnostic imaging independently
• Formulate and issue clinical reports
• Promote effective professional practices and deliver evidence-based care
• Participate in clinical audits and liaise with referrers
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable adults and children
• Assist with training and mentoring new Sonographers
• Support clinical triage and risk assessments
• Plan, assess, deliver, and evaluate your own workload
• Maintain high standards of clinical practice and patient care
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company policies

Qualifications
Essential

• Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or overseas equivalent

Other Requirements
Essential

• UK or international driving licence (with a view to acquiring a UK licence)
• Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
• Overseas applicants must possess IELTS Level 7

Experience
Essential

• Minimum 2 years independent scanning and reporting experience
• Professional registration with HCPC/SOR/RCT
