What you'll be doing

• Undertaking elective orthopaedic surgical procedures and outpatient clinics.
• Delivering comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Performing procedures including hip and knee arthroplasty, arthroscopy and other minor orthopaedic interventions.
• Working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure excellent patient outcomes and experience.
• Supporting clinical governance, audit, research and service improvement initiatives.
• Contributing to departmental development, clinical leadership and the supervision of junior clinical staff where appropriate.
• Participating in an on-call rota alongside orthopaedic colleagues.

We are particularly interested in surgeons who can demonstrate a high level of operative expertise in joint replacement surgery, arthroscopic procedures or other specialist orthopaedic interventions.

What we'll look for in you
To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• A UK-registerable medical degree
• GMC Specialist Registration in Orthopaedics, or immediate eligibility for registration.
• FRCS (Orth) or European equivalent qualification.
• Extensive training and experience in orthopaedic surgery.
• A commitment to clinical governance, audit, CPD and quality improvement.
• The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care.
