Scrub Practitioner to join our Theatre team at Practice Plus Group Hospital Ilford.

As a valued member of our multidisciplinary theatre team, you’ll play a key role in supporting a wide range of surgical procedures while helping us deliver outstanding outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.

What you'll be doing- Delivering high standards of patient care and safety throughout the peri-operative journey.
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary theatre team to ensure efficient and effective running of theatre lists.
- Scrubbing for a variety of procedures and ensuring adherence to all theatre techniques and protocols.
- Monitoring and maintaining standards relating to instrument, swab and needle counts.
- Supporting theatre preparation, equipment checks and infection prevention and control processes.
- Assisting with clinical audits, KPI monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Sharing specialist knowledge and supporting the development of junior colleagues and students.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of theatre services.
What we'll look for in youAs an NMC‑registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered Operating Department Practitioner with scrub experience, you will also have:
- A minimum of two years’ scrub experience across a variety of specialities, including Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Gynaecology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships
- A commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care and service excellence
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy theatre environment
- A proactive approach to learning, development and service improvement
