Job summary
Great Cornard Dental Practice is looking for two dental nurses to join their busy practice, on a full-time basis, working 08:30 - 17:30, Monday to Friday, with a 1 hour lunchbreak each day. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

The primary responsibility of the role will be to provide clinical support for a wide range of NHS treatments across a broad client base, working alongside the practice principal.

Main duties of the job

• Assisting in the full range of dental care provided to patients, from supporting with routine examinations to advanced specialist treatments.
• Welcoming patients and reassuring them of the treatments.
• Providing chair support whilst patients receive treatments, responding quickly to requests.
• Assisting with all aspects of patient dental care and treatment including check-ups to fillings, x-rays to decontamination.
• Preparing and mixing dental materials.
• Maintaining and updating patient records.
• Stock control.
• Reassuring patients, responding to individual patient needs.
• Undertaking reception duties e.g. greeting service users, answering the telephone, making appointments, explaining service user charges and collecting service user charges.
• Liaising with the practice principal to maintain the effective running of the dental practice.

Qualifications
Essential

• Dental Nursing Level 3 qualification.
• Current GDC registration.
• CPD to be up to date.

Experience
Essential

• CPD to be up to date.
• Previous experience as a dental nurse.
• Friendly, reliable, understanding individual.
