Contract Type: Full Time/37.5 Hours
Work Setting: Site-based

About Priory Eden House
Eden House, part of Priory, is an affordable, 18-bed residential service in Mill Hill, North London. It is home to Flourish – our pioneering therapy-led addiction programme – offering bespoke treatment for a wide range of addictions in a calm, homely environment. Set within a supportive community, Eden House provides a safe haven away from the stresses of daily life, forming part of our wider network of residential addiction treatment homes across the UK. Delivered by qualified therapists in a non-medical setting, Flourish offers an alternative to traditional hospital-based treatment. It’s suitable for people who don’t require a medical detox or ongoing medical care but would benefit from structured therapy, community connection, and practical tools to achieve meaningful, sustainable recovery.

The Role
As an experienced therapist, support worker, therapy assistant, or administrator you will guide clients through daily group sessions, evening recovery-focused activities and psychoeducational workshops. Each element is designed to help clients develop practical coping strategies, build resilience and reduce their responses to everyday triggers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based assessment, treatment, and therapeutic interventions for individuals experiencing substance misuse and addictive behaviours.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, developing person-centred treatment plans that support recovery and promote long-term wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, maintaining accurate clinical records and contributing to case reviews, risk assessments, and care planning.
  • Build therapeutic relationships that encourage engagement, resilience, and positive outcomes while adhering to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Essential Requirements
  • Accredited with a recognised professional body (e.g. BACP, UKCP, NCS or equivalent).
  • Proven experience delivering therapeutic interventions for individuals with substance misuse and addictive behaviours.
  • Ability to facilitate both one-to-one and group therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches.
  • Strong assessment, risk management, care planning, and clinical record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and multidisciplinary team-working abilities.

Desirable Experience
  • Experience working within a residential addiction treatment or rehabilitation setting.
  • Experience delivering psychoeducational groups, relapse prevention, and recovery-focused interventions.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures, clinical governance, and regulatory standards.
  • Additional training or qualifications in addiction therapies, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), or other evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
