Priory Hospital Bristol is looking to recruit a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join the team.

What you'll be doing

• Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
• Contribute to a team approach to patient care in conjunction with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in regular ward meetings and attend other meetings as requested.
• Assist in the maintenance of stock levels, including pharmaceutical products.
• Assist in the maintenance of ward cleanliness and tidiness and adhere to infection control policy and procedures at all times.
• Develop and maintain a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors, responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.

What you'll bring to the role

• Educated to at least NVQ Level 1 or hold GCSEs in Mathematics and English.
• Understanding of the importance of strict confidentiality and basic IT literacy.
• Resilience and natural empathy.
• Completion of the Care Certificate during the probation period, even if previously attained.

While no specific prior experience is required, the successful applicant will be expected to complete the Care Certificate during their probation period.
