Priory Hospital Nelson House has an opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join our team. 

Priory Hospital Nelson House, Gosport, Hampshire is a rehabilitation service offering level 1 and level 2 care for males with mental health conditions and complex needs, including behaviours that challenge and substance misuse issues. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes along Rowner Road and Portsmouth Harbour railway station approximately 3–4 miles from the service.

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here. You will work effectively as a valued member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, promoting the best interests of clients and their carers while ensuring prescribed nursing care is delivered safely and effectively. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive care environment, exercising professional accountability and responsibility, and using your nursing skills, knowledge and expertise to respond effectively to changing environments. Essential for the role

• Qualified Mental Health Nurse with active NMC registration.
• Minimum of 6 months post-registration experience working within a mental health care environment and completion of preceptorship programme.
• Good understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements and professional standards. 
• Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD). 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Positive attitude with a commitment to change, improvement and delivering high-quality care. 
• Ability to work flexibly and use innovative approaches to care.
