Apple Mews is looking to recruit a Bank Registered Nurse to join the team. Apple Mews is located in the city of Armagh, in Northern Ireland. Our home offers residential and nursing support for 30 adults with a range of needs. This includes people with a learning disability, individuals with physical health needs, and autistic people.
What you'll be doing

• Be part of a compassionate team committed to residents' wellbeing, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence.
• Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated.
• Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework, assessing, planning and delivering nursing care with the patient and their carer/family, acting as the patient's named nurse.
• Accurately observe and engage with patients to assess need and evaluate progress.
• Monitor and review nursing care plans.

What you'll bring to the role

• A Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) with 6 to 12 months of post-registration experience, holding an active NMC registration and having successfully completed a preceptorship programme.
• Sound knowledge of NMC guidelines, standards and professional practice, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
• A positive attitude towards change, quality improvement and service development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A minimum of six months' experience within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment.
