Description

Priory Richmond House is looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join the team. Due to limits on sponsorship allocations, we are not currently in a position to offer sponsorship to new candidates for these roles, this remains under review.

Based in Harleston, Norfolk, Richmond House is a level 2 rehabilitation service for those with a learning disability. We can support adult females with a range of needs, including those who are on the autism spectrum, those with a personality disorders, complex mental health needs, and those with a history of offending behaviours. We support people to improve their skills and strengthen their independence, enabling safe continuation of care and transition into community placements.

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

Requirements
  • A qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration and 6–12 months post-registration experience, including completion of a preceptorship programme.
  • Sound knowledge of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional standards.
  • Evidence of ongoing post-registration professional development and a positive attitude toward change, improvement, and quality.
  • Ability to adopt flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of six months working within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment.
