Description

Partner with Priory
Thinking about moving into private practice but not sure where to start? Or already working independently and looking for the security of regular referrals? Partnering with Priory allows you to build your practice with confidence — without the stress of going it alone. Priory Hospital Canterbury is seeking a Sessional Therapist – CAMHS CBT to join our team. This is a self-employed, sessional role offering flexibility around the centre’s needs and your availability.

You will deliver one-to-one therapy, supporting clients to achieve their treatment goals, either face-to-face in our modern clinical environment or online.

At Priory, you’ll be part of a compassionate, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based care that helps people move forward with confidence and build healthier, more fulfilling lives. You will play a key role in patients’ recovery, contributing to assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic delivery, while working within strong clinical governance frameworks.

What we offer:
  • Steady patient flow – referrals are provided, allowing you to focus on delivering therapy rather than marketing your services.
  • Credibility and trust – work alongside a nationally recognised provider of mental healthcare.
  • Clinical and administrative support – access to clinical space, billing and administrative support.
  • Flexibility – choose working patterns that complement your existing professional commitments and our service needs.
  • Team connection – benefit from the independence of self-employment while remaining connected to and supported by an experienced multidisciplinary clinical team.

What you'll bring to the role
We are looking for an experienced therapist able to deliver Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and provide high-quality, evidence-based care to our patients. You will:
  • Hold full BABCP accreditation or an equivalent relevant professional accreditation appropriate to the role.
  • Have a minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical judgement and excellent communication skills.
  • Be confident working within clinical governance frameworks, including the use of digital systems, maintaining clear and concise clinical notes, and attending relevant risk management meetings.

Accreditation: Full accreditation with BABCP or an equivalent relevant professional body is required from the outset of the role.
